3-day foundation · Beginners

Digital marketing, without the noise.

Enter with little or no understanding. Leave knowing what it is, how it works, where it fits a business, what to expect — and what to do next.

Lunch, book, worksheets and certificate included. Limited hybrid seats.

01 Purpose

A usable foundation. Not a specialist factory.

Digital marketing looks intimidating because the field is full of platforms, tools, and specialisations. This programme does not attempt to teach everything. It takes one concept at a time and builds logic you can actually use.

The measure of success is not the volume of information delivered. It is whether you leave with clarity, confidence, and a sensible next step.

“Teach, but make it understood.”

02 Who it is for

If you are starting from little or nothing, this is the door.

  1. 01 College students exploring digital marketing as a career
  2. 02 Founders who need to understand customer acquisition
  3. 03 Small-business owners who want to know what their marketing is doing
  4. 04 Owners who work with agencies and want to ask better questions
  5. 05 Anyone who wants a practical introduction before going deeper

03 What you should understand

The end state is a sentence you can say out loud.

“I understand what marketing and digital marketing are, how digital advertising broadly works, how Google and Meta are different, how audiences are reached, what I can reasonably expect, what I should question, and what I can learn or do next.”
  • What marketing is, and where digital sits inside it
  • Why businesses pick different channels — and what digital uniquely allows
  • How advertising platforms broadly work, including the auction
  • The basic logic of Google Ads versus Meta Ads
  • Audience, targeting, and signals — at foundation level
  • The chain from advertisement to offer, response, and sale
  • What to reasonably expect — and what not to
  • How to tell when something is not working, and what to question
04 The practical mindset

Marketing is a chain. Ads are one link.

When results are poor, the useful question is which part of the chain needs attention — not whether to spend more money.

  1. Business
  2. Customer
  3. Offer
  4. Message
  5. Channel
  6. Advertisement
  7. Response
  8. Follow-up
  9. Sale
  10. Measurement
  11. Learning
05 Programme

Three days. One sequence.

11:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day. Vegetarian lunch, ~1:00–1:45 PM.

Day 01

Foundations

Marketing, digital marketing & the customer

  • Opening, philosophy, and what this is / is not
  • Marketing vs digital marketing — strengths and limits
  • Customer, targeting, signals, and the journey
  • Offer, message, and the full business chain

Day 02

Digital advertising

Google & Meta, at foundation level

  • How platforms work: auction, awareness vs conversion
  • Search intent vs social intent
  • Targeting, creative, and why the offer matters
  • Connecting the ad to the business chain — common failure points

Day 03

Judgement & next steps

Measurement, professionals, your plan

  • Useful metrics and the learning loop
  • Realistic expectations and typical pitfalls
  • Working with agencies: questions and red flags
  • Your own 30–90 day action plan, then certificates
06 Honesty

What this programme is not.

A course can open the door. Continued learning and practice are what build capability. Treat this as a threshold, not a destination.

  • A complete digital-marketing qualification
  • A catalogue of hundreds of tools
  • An attempt to make you an expert in three days
  • A promise of guaranteed leads, sales, or growth
  • A claim that ads can replace a good product, pricing, sales, or service
07 The shift

From confusion to a working map.

From To

A clear picture of what it is and how it works

Unsure what to expect from ads or agencies

09 Questions

Direct answers.

What is this programme, and what is it not? +

A 3-day foundation for beginners. It is orientation and practical thinking — not a specialist qualification, not a tool dump, and not a promise of leads or sales.

Who is it for? +

Students exploring the field, founders, small-business owners, and anyone who will work with a digital-marketing professional and wants to do that intelligently.

What will I actually be able to do after three days? +

Understand the logic, tell Google from Meta at a foundational level, set sensible expectations, question weak results using the full chain, and write a 30–90 day next-step plan. You will not be a specialist.

Is digital marketing a replacement for traditional marketing? +

No. Digital is one set of channels inside marketing. It can reach more specific audiences, start with smaller budgets, test faster, and measure more directly. Traditional channels still have uses.

How are Google Ads and Meta Ads different? +

At foundation level: search captures existing intent; social often has to create it. Targeting, creative, and the offer behave differently as a result. Day 2 is built around that distinction.

Can I join online? +

A limited hybrid option exists via Google Meet if you request it in advance. The recommended experience is the Pondicherry University classroom.
